Four people have been arrested in connection with the horrific murder of a person with albinism in Nkhata Bay.
54 year-old Yasin Phiri was butchered in the presence of his nine year old son on New-Year’s eve inside his house at Kande Trading Centre in Nkhata Bay.
Northern Region Police Deputy Public Relations Officer, Maurice Chapola said police first arrested Francis Chipateni Kaluwa, 37, Ceasar Banda, 31 and 32 year-old Lawrence Theu on Thursday.
All the three suspects comes from the areas of traditional authorities Fukamapiri and Makokola in Nkhata Bay.
Chapola said the fourth suspect, Frank Mkweni, 19, was later arrested on Thursday night.
The gruesome murder of Phiri follows another horrible murder of MacDonald Masambuka, a man with albinism in Machinga last year.
