National Association of Business Women (NABW) has urged government to do more to ensure that more women are incorporated into entrepreneurship in a bid to empower them.
NABW executive director Barbara Banda told YFM that women are not making any considerable strides in entrepreneurship in the country.
“We see that the challenges are still there because access to finance for them to grow their business is not there.
“Due to huge interest rates a lot of women are depending on village savi and loan scheme,” she said.
Banda suggested that information on tenders should be made available to institutions like National Association of Business Women so that the associations should put the tenders in way which women will not find difficulties in understanding the information.
