Veteran midfield powerhouse Josephy Shakira Kamwendo has given the Nomads fans a reason to smile having returned to training on Thursday.
The attacking midfielder who was once described as Bastian Schweinteiger of Malawian football, sustained a hamstring injury in a FISD Cup contest between the Nomads and Moyale Barracks.
The injury was worsened when the midfielder was featured in a Blantyre derby with Big Bullets in a TNM super league clash at Bingu National Stadium.
An early return to pitch business for the attacker will be of paramount significance to the Lali Lubani outfit as they hope to see through their title pursuit with their captain in attendance.
The FISD cup defending champions are also awaiting judgment of their case over their postponed match with Mzuni FC last Saturday at Balaka stadium.
The Nomads lead the 16-team league with 55 points from 24 games, four ahead of second-placed Bullets.
