Malawi National Football team goalkeeper Rabson Chiyenda is back in isolation centre after having tested positive for Covid-19 following a re-test.
Football Association of Malawi (FAM) competitions director Gomezgani Zakazaka said Silver Strikers defender, Hadji Wali and Nyasa Big Bullets goalkeeper trainer Swadick Sanud joined the Flames camp over the weekend after being cleared of Covid-19.
The flames are in camp at Mpira village in Blantyre ahead of back to back Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Burkina Faso.
In a related development, as part of AFCON qualifying matches preparations, the Flames will play against the neighboring Zimbabwe and Zambia next month.
Zakazaka said the Flames will travel to Lusaka for first match against Zambia’s Chipolopolo on October, 7, 2020 before hosting Zimbabwe’s Warriors at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre on September 11.
Meanwhile, FAM is yet to announce on travel arrangement for the matches.
