Football Association of Malawi (FAM) says the exercise of inspecting stadiums and grounds in various parts of the country in readiness for the new football season, has started well.
FAM club licensing and facilities manager Casper Jangale told YFM Online that so far, the inspection team comprising Super League of Malawi officials, among others, has visited Chiwembe, Balaka Community, Mulanje Park, Kamuzu and Zomba Stadium, which is currently under construction.
Jangale said the visit to Zomba Stadium was to acquaint themselves with the progress of the construction works whether they are in tandem with the modern procedure of stadiums being advocated for, by Fifa and CAF.
“Mostly, where we have gone to, the ground owners have being advised to speed up the areas which need urgent attention and be ready by the kick-off date of TNM Super League on 14 November 2020. We will head to the Central Region the other week before winding up with the North later,” Jangale said.
