President Lazarus Chakwera has asked University of Malawi (Unima) graduands to reflect deeply on the education standards they have been equipped with from the university and remember to give back to the nation.
“To reflect deeply on the standard of education you have received here and the sacrifices made by so many to make it happen.
“I invite you to think about what you will each do not only to represent that standard when you live from here but also to give back to this institution,” he said during the graduation ceremony at Chancellor College in Zomba.
The Unima Chancellor, also urged the graduating students to be committed and ready to sacrifice as they will be joining various industries.
“Be reminded that over 1,500 graduands will be with you on the job market competing for the same positions, but your commitment to sacrifice will set you apart,”Chakwera said.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the ceremony was attended by few selected graduating students while others followed virtually.
