The National Youth Anti-Corruption Network (NYACN) says it is geared to raise awareness on the evils of corruption among young people in the country in a bid to end the vice.
NYACN General Secretary Titus Linzie made the remarks in an interview with YFM.
Linzie says for a long time, the youth have been sidelined on matters of fighting corruption hence the need to engage them at an early stage so that they can effectively take part in ending corruption.
He says the first thing to do is to familiarize the youth on the fight against corruption because it cannot be won if the youth are in the dark.
“We have to familiarize the corruption fight amongst the youth because we cannot roll out the fight without making it known to our target audience which are the youth,” said Linzie.
They intend to get the message across to the youth by having awareness campaigns in schools starting from secondary to colleges.
Linzie said: “Our first plan is to start visiting schools, we will start with secondary schools then to colleges where we want to familiarize the fight against corruption among the youth.”
Through this the network believes that there will be change since the message on corruption will be with the students and they will take with them to the world.
