The Malawi Law Society (MLS) has expressed shock over the death of former Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Ishmael Wadi.
According to a family member, Hassam Sama, Wadi died on Friday morning. His body was laid to rest the same day at Area 2 in Lilongwe.
MLS president, Patrick Mpaka, said the legal profession has lost an experienced lawyer.
“We always sought advice from him when need arouse,” he said.
Wadi held the position of Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) during late Bingu wa Mutharika’s regime.
