The Malawi Police Service has called for concerted efforts in implementing the “Operation Vala mask” campaign which has been intensified amid rising cases of Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking to YONECO FM online, spokesperson for National Police, James Kadadzera said, police have observed that some people are wearing masks and others are not adhering the call.

Kadadzera has indicated that police will continue sensitizing the masses on the importance of wearing masks but also applying the law on those non-compliant.

“As police we are not out there to compete in as far as non-adherers is concerned what is key is civic education,” he said.
