IPTE 14 graduates on Tuesday petitioned Ministry of Education to recruit them eight months after completing their studies in various teachers training colleges.
The teachers, demonstrated from Lilongwe Community Center ground to Lilongwe City Council where a petition was presented.
The demonstration was however marred by low turnout as only seven members participated.
In the petition, they are accusing Ministry of Education of sidelining them in the recruitment of auxiliary teachers as government only recruited teachers who graduated under IPTE 13.
Rodgers Abina, Executive Member for the IPTE 14 taskforce, has told YFM that they want to push government to consider their recruitment saying they are tired of staying at home.
Currently, teachers under IPTE 13 and 14 are waiting for recruitment into government primary schools.
