My Community My Responsibility, a Lilongwe-based charity organisation has launched a youth empowerment and entrepreneurship initiative.
Speaking at a news conference in Lilongwe, executive director Brian Khembo said the initiative aims at seeing the country’s youth having equal economic justice.
He said: “As young leaders of today, it is pivotal that youth are informed and engaged with the global vision for the future.
“With this regards, My community My Responsibility thought it wise to build a platform for discussion and create the conditions for active engagement.”
The organisation has also pleaded for support from the public on its initiative.
“It is our country and we are calling upon all well-wishers to support the initiative and help to reach out to the youths across the country.”
“Currently the organisation is having a lot of projects ready to be implemented but due to financial constraints, we are finding challenges in implementing the projects,” said Khembo.
MCMRO has also asked President Lazarus Chakwera and all duty bearers to consider more on the welfare of the youths by allowing the youths to operate freely without any interference.
