Super League of Malawi (SULOM) has promised tight security at Balaka Stadium on Saturday’s TNM Super League title decider between Mighty Be Forward Wanderers and Masters Security FC.

The match is a great opportunity for the Nomads to end  11 year title drought in the league.

SULOM General Secretary, Williams Banda told YFM that his body expects to wind up the season without any challenges from supporters, players and even the officials.

Banda said; “We are prepared to ensure people’s safety is in place and we are aware of the tension which the game will bring since Mighty Be Forward Wanderers is fighting for an early title while Masters Security is trying hard to distance itself from the relegation zone.”

“The fact that both teams will participate in CAF Champion’s League, it means the match will attract more attention.”

In his remarks Mighty Be Forward Wanderers Team Manager Steve Madeira, has expressed confidence that come rain or sunshine the 2017 trophy is going to Lali Lubani road.

“Our boys are hungry for the top flight trophy which they cannot afford to lose at the moment.

“We are calling upon all Nomads supporters to come in their large numbers at Balaka stadium to witness their team as it claim the early championship,” said Madeira, whose side is currently leading the league summit with 65 points, four ahead of the second placed Nyasa Big Bullets.

If the Nomads carry the day then they will automatically claim the championship, but if things go the other way round and their contenders Nyasa Big Bullets win their match on the same day against Dwangwa United, then the title race between the two teams will be back on.
