The Ministry of Labour, Youth, Sports and Manpower Development has said the country managed to create jobs for the youth in 2017.
Speaking to YFM Online, the publicist in the Ministry, Christina Mkutumula said among others in 2017 the ministry increased the number of Community Technical Colleges in the country.
Mkutumula said the government is doing this so that the youth should learn different skills and start their own business for them to be economically stable.
He stressed that in 2017, government also put in place measures that has helped in strengthening service delivery in the country.
Mkutumula added: “In the coming year the government will continue working hand in hand with partners to implement projects that are geared to enhance skills among the youth in the country.”
