Two men have been arrested in connection with the theft of a firearm and K7 million from the Malembo Admarc depot.

Lilongwe Police spokesperson Hastings Chigalu identified the suspects as Maupo Chalemera, 38, and Innocent Banda, 29.

Chigalu confirmed that the suspects led police officers to Malembo graveyard, where the stolen pump-action gun was recovered.

“Efforts are ongoing to apprehend five additional suspects and recover the stolen cash,” Chigalu added.
