An elite mob has killed a 44 year old man for allegedly sleeping with women through magic in area 50 in Lilongwe.

According to Sub Inspector Laban Makalani of Kanengo Police Station, the incident happened on April 18, 2018.

He said the man identified as Masauko Koshoni was caught in what is believed to be one of his victims house whilst wearing underwear and attempted to rape a woman who was sleeping together with her husband.

Makalani said, there had been concerns from women in the area that a certain man had been molesting them through magic.

“Police visited the scene and took the deceased to Area 25 health center where he died upon arrival,” Makalani said.

He further said police have opened a murder case on the incident.

Police have however appealed to the general public to desist from taking the law into their hands and should involve the police if they caught a person believed to have committed a crime.

The deceased hailed from Mkungula 2 village in Traditional Authority Masambankhunda in Lilongwe district.
