The Malawi Investment and Trade Center (MITC) has organized a trade mission to Mozambique with the aim of exposing local companies to foreign markets.
According to MITC, the first meeting for the trade mission will be held from 7 to 9 November 2018 in Nampula while the second meeting will be held from 28th to 30th November in Quelimane.
The targeted sectors during the meetings are manufactured products, tourism, services, packaging materials, poultry products, agro-processed products and plastic ware.
Speaking to YFM Online, MITC Public Relations Manager, Delibe Chimbalu said companies should not focus on Malawi alone but rather look beyond in order to expand the country’s trade industry.
“We are trying to create a platform where local companies can meet potential buyers from neighboring countries so that at the end of the day we can increase trade value.”
