Nothing surpasses the joy of an entertainment lover, whose vicinity is on the verge of witnessing something awe-inspiring in as far as showbiz is concerned. This is the case with Blantyre residents as they await the Miss Blantyre Auditions 2017.
According to organizers, the auditions whose kick off has been scheduled for Saturday 12th August 2017, will be conducted at Malawi Institute of Tourism (MIT) in Blantyre.
The auditions will witness a myriad of beauties drawn from all corners of the commercial city aged between 18-26.
But this does not end there. The beauty queens are expected to be great team players, those willing to empower other girls in realizing their potential in life, confident and a holder of the Malawi School Certificate of education (MSCE).
The auditions does mean that the tenure of the reigning Miss Blantyre, Hannah Mhone, is nearing its expiry. The Manja based beauty queen had the last laugh during last year’s Miss Blantyre contest having outclassed his closest rivals, Myra khoza (1st princess) and Chimwemwe khembo (2nd princess).
Mhone’s reign had packed with charity works, youth empowerment programs and career guidance sessions with primary school learners.
A number of notable organisations and other public figures are set to embrace the occasion as it is for a good cause.
