Ministry of Labour, Youth, Sports and Manpower Development has confessed that most of its youth interventions are failing to guarantee youth empowerment in the country.
Principal Secretary in the ministry Joseph Mwandidya told YFM online that many youths are resisting to embrace most interventions.
“Many interventions are contrary to the demands of young people that is why many of them do not show willingness to take part in the activities,” Mwandidya explained.
He said this is the case because young people are not involved in the development of policies.
Mwandidya urged youths to come forward and voice out their needs and concerns to government on how best to engage them.
