Silver Strikers, who are still in a honey moon mood after showcasing their superiority by beating TNM Super League leaders Be Forward wanderers on Saturday, are more confident ahead of their Wednesday home match against MAFCO FC, but this time in FISD Challenge Cup.
The Bankers Team Manager, Francis Songo, expressed optimism when asked by YFM online on their preparations for the match.
“Keeping in mind that we are coming from a win over the weekend, though it was a different kind of competition, but this gives our boys confidence and the morale in our camp is still high,” said Songo.
On the other hand the Salima based soldiers mentor, Francis Songo, faulted the organizers for the spacing of games in cup and league match schedules, but he was quick to admit that the soldiers are ready for the battle.
“Frankly speaking the organizers could have done better. The game spacing is not conducive to our players because this exposes them to more fatigue hence affecting the standard of play. More teams are complaining about the same. But we are prepared for the game,” he said.
In other games to be played on the same day, Dwangwa United will take on Nyasa Big Bullets while Blue Eagles faces Chitipa United.
