Sapitwa Poetry, a group of poets from the country, has planned a pre-valentine show at The Story Club in Lilongwe area 47, Saturday February 10.

The show has comes as Valentine’s Day approaches on February 14 , a day when the world celebrates romantic love.

In an interview with YFM online, chairperson for the group, Robert Chiwamba said the main aim of the event is to celebrate love, and it will run under the theme ‘For you my love’.

“Basically, we want to celebrate love with couples, and even singles because love builds.”

Chiwamba explained that the performances will not only entertain the audience, but also help the poets to sharpen their skills as far as romantic poetry is concerned.

Apart from romantic poetry, the occasion will also be graced by acoustic guitarist, Rejoice Mawerenga, who will be playing love music.

Following the Pre-valentine’s show, Sapitwa Poetry has planned to organize a kids’ poetry show, where they want to scout new talent.
