Nine people have died so far during this year’s Easter period in Mzuzu.

Mzuzu Police Spokesperson Peter Kalaya said the number of accidents and deaths is high this year compared to the same period last year.

Kalaya said a full assessment report for the accidents will be produced after the Easter period.

“That’s when they will be able to tell the real cause of the increase in accidents and deaths,” he said.
