Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) on Saturday elected new office bearers for its Chancellor College wing as part of preparations for the 2019 tripartite elections.
Speaking to YFM online after the elections, Director of Operations for DPP, Ben Phiri said that: “The new committee should have vision on how the party will win the 2019 elections.”
“The elected youth will move ahead with potential of serving the interest of the public through demonstration of good examples, they will have to know the direction they want to go at the end victory will be inevitable,” he said.
Phiri further welcomed the new office bearers by stressing that the youth have the potential of conveying creative ideas for the country’s development.
“I want to welcome them into leadership of the party, if the party is going to have the future we are going to get into the future that they have created,” he said.
Connex Muhuwa has been elected as the new President for Chanco Dpp youth wing replacing Paul Macheso alongside other seven members who were elected into the executive committee.
