Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) says all is set for this year’s Malawi International Trade Fair from May 24.
In an interview with YFM online, the Head of Business for MCCCI, Linda Pete said “The trade fair is slated to be held between May 24 and June 3 at Chichiri Trade Fair grounds this year.”
The theme for this year’s international trade fair is “Industrialization: Basis for Trade Competitiveness”
According to MCCCI, the theme has been considered to reflect the need for the Malawi economy to produce and trade in goods with value addition, a scenario that can only be possible through industrialization.
“The main objective of the trade fair is to provide a platform for local and international participants to showcase their goods and services to potential customers and network with patrons and other participants.”
“The fair also allows local and international participants to share information on business in their respective countries and develop linkages with suppliers and customers abroad,” Pete said.
“We are optimistic of 100 percent participation of local and international exhibitors, she said.
Pete said companies from Mozambique, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, among others have confirmed their participation to the fair.
