Malawi Confederation Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) says industrialization is key in meaningful and inclusive development in the country.
MCCCI President Prince Kapondamgaga said this during the opening of the 30th Malawi’s International Trade Fair at the Chichiri trade fair grounds in Blantyre on Thursday.
Kapondamgaga said there is need for government to put much effort in promoting the country’s industrial sector as it has potential to create job opportunities and promote local products that can compete on the international market.
The country’s president is presiding over the opening of this year’s fair which has seen over 200 participants from local companies and organizations, and 13 international companies participating.
