Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has revealed the fixture for the semi-final matches of 2018 Airtel Top 8 trophy.
According a communication by FAM competitions and commercial manager, Casper Jangale, the battle for the finals will take place on 9th and 16th June 2018 in Lilongwe.
The first game will take place at Civo Stadium where Silver Strikers will battle it out against Blue Eagles.
The Bankers booked their place in the stage after seeing off their city rivals, Civo Sporting club by 2-1 goal aggregate.
Blue Eagles booked itself a ticket into the semis after overcoming MAFCO FC by 1-0 goal aggregate.
The battle continues on June 16 with a Blantyre derby in which both Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Be Forward Wanderers locking horns at Bingu National Stadium.
Big Bullets qualified into semi-final stage following their victory over Moyale Barracks by a goal aggregate of 1-0.
The Nomads secured their place in the semis after humiliating Kamuzu Barracks with a 2-0 goal aggregate.
The journey for the trophy started on 5th of May with eight Super League clubs, however, four were eliminated along the way.
The mobile company, Airtel, placed K15 million on the table to be fought by the 2017 top 8 Super league clubs.
Silver Strikers are the defending champions who won the inaugural cup last year after beating Be Forward Wanderers 9-10 on post-match penalties after the game ended 0-0 in the regulation time.
