Preparations of the forthcoming Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations are progressing well at the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB).
MANEB spokesperson Mayamiko Chiwaya said identity cards for candidates were sent to respective schools and all payments for exam administrators have been made.
“Our preparations are at an advanced stage, we actually sent ID’s to schools three weeks back and we are hoping that every candidate got theirs.”
Chiwaya has however warned schools against withholding Identity Cards for students who are preparing to sit for their (MSCE) exams since they require the ID’s to sit for the paper.
“Every candidate needs to have an ID in order to write examinations, so I am appealing to the schools that have not yet released the ID’s to the candidates to do so, they may wish to keep the students certificate afterwards or even the notification of results but ID’s should be given out,” Chiwaya added.
MSCE examinations will be administered from June 21 and about 209,532 candidates are expected to sit for the examinations.
