Issues of national security are set to improve in the country following the passing of National Intelligence Services Bill in Parliament on Wednesday.
Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Samuel Tembenu highlighted that the bill will, among other things, warrant security in the country.
“It is an important bill because it establishes a security agency, every country requires a security that must be able to collect intelligence information and advise other security bodies like the army and police.”
Tembenu emphasized that the passing of the bill is a breakthrough for the country`s security in all sectors.
“If people feel insecure, there will be anxiety, they will not be able to concentrate doing other things that will improve their lives.”
If the bill is enacted into law, it will give the minister of internal security, through the director general, national intelligence services to put on for suitable permits through the country`s courts.
