Business people in Lilongwe and surrounding districts will have an opportunity to showcase their merchandise at the forthcoming 3rd specialized Lilongwe Trade Fair slated for July.
Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) Head of Communications, Millie Kasunda told YFM that, despite the fair being a local event, international exhibitors have also shown interest to participate.
“We are taking the trade fair closer to people in the central region because some were unable to participate in the just ended International Trade Fair. The fair will take place from 26 July to 31st July at the Gateway mall.”
Kasunda also hinted on plans to hold a similar event in the North.
“Meetings like these are important because they give chance to lesser known trade proffesionals to interact with potential business partners, so that is why we are trying to reach out to all regions.”
Last year the fair attracted 60 exhibitors and this year they are expecting 80 exhibitors.
The theme for the fair is “Industrialization basis for trade competitiveness”.
