Ntchalo United Football club has announced its decision to withdraw from all competitions including TNM Super League.
In its letter addressed to Super League of Malawi (SULOM), Football Association of Malawi (FAM) and the club’s executive committee highlighted that it will not be able to fulfill its fixtures for this weekend and beyond.
The communication which has been signed by the clubs general secretary, Beston Malaunga, further said the regrettable decision has been necessitated by the financial challenges the committee is facing in running the daily affairs of the club.
The letter emphasized that currently the club has no money and is already deep in debt.
The letter also revealed that the club has no money for salaries, game bonuses, equipment and travel expenses and it has reached a point where it can cannot continue anymore.
Tchalo United was expected to travel to Lilongwe this weekend to play Kamuzu Barracks and Civo Sporting Club at Civo stadium on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
The team has just graduated from the premier division league and is currently on position 14 on the TNM Super league log table after playing 12 games.
