A 30-year-old man identified as Stephano Msusa, who was reported missing four months ago in Mangochi, has been found dead in a woodlot.
Deputy Public Relations Officer for Mangochi Police Station, Sergeant Amina Tepani Daudi said that the issue was reported at Malombe Police Unit on April 5, 2018 and a search to trace him proved futile.
“Stephano disappeared from home after he picked a quarrel with his sister over a wetland and left a suicide note that his relatives will no longer see him.”
Daudi Further said: “On the afternoon of August 4, 2018, he was found lifeless in a decomposed state under a tree with a rope around his neck by the owner who was patrolling his forest.”
Postmortem conducted by the medical personnel revealed that the death was due to suffocation.
Stephano Msusa hailed from M’gona village in the area of Sub Traditional Authority (STA) Chiunda in Mangochi.
