Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club has confirmed that it has decided not to extend the contract of versatile defender, Emanuel Zoya, which expired on January 31.
This has been disclosed by Bullets Chief Executive Officer, Fleetwood Haiya, in Blantyre where he also confirmed to the media that the club will also offload eight players before the new season kicks off.
He however declined to reveal names of other players on the list to face the chop.
On the club’s decision to part ways with Zoya, Haiya said the club has reached an agreement with the defender to find another club.
Haiya said: “Let me confirm here that we did not extend Zoya’s contract after reaching an agreement with him to go to another club where he can have a chance of enjoying game time since his position in the club might be under stiff competition due to the coming in of Precious Sambani.”
Recently, Bullets signed defender Precious Sambani from their traditional rivals, Mighty Be Forward Wanderers.
During the previous season, Zoya did not enjoy much of the game time at Bullets.
However the player was on pick during the 2017 and was voted the best defender of the season.
