For the first time in the history of awards in Malawi, the multi-purpose Kamuzu Stadium will host the inaugural Nyasa Music Festival slated for April 19 to 21, 2019.

The organizers of the event made the announcement on February 1, 2019.

So far, they have unveiled a number of hot international and local headliners including the award winning south-African rapper AKA, Busiswa, the Club controller hit maker-Prince Kaybee, the so called coolest kid in Africa-Nasty C, Gwamba, Patience Namadingo and Malceba.

Other performers at the event include Fredokiss, Bossaro Music Group, Malinga Mafia, Kelly Kay, Faith Mussa and Dj Nathan Tune.

The event will be hosted by Black Jack and Super DT.

However, the the organizers said they have noted with a concern the availability of fake posters and international headliners on social media.

The organizers are therefore advising all music fans to ignore all messages not posted on Nyasa Music Awards official platforms.

Nyasa Music Group Director, James Makunje Jnr said they considered a number of factors when coming up with the choice of Kamuzu Stadium as the venue.

Makunje Jnr said the factors include security and parking space.
