Relegated Malawi Armed Forces College (MAFCO) Football Club is leaving no stone unturned in an effort to return to the TNM Super League.
The Salima based soldiers have started preparations to gain promotion back to the country’s top flight league by polishing up their technical panel by replacing it with new faces.
MAFCO has appointed Sterio Gondwe as new head coach replacing Tione Muhone.
Gondwe, who has been coaching Malawi Beach Soccer national team, after being fired from Red Lions FC in October 2018, will be assisted by Yohane Fulaye.
The club’s management has also taken on board David Kante Gulaimfa as team manager and he will be deputized by Thom Kayamba.
Martin Nthala and Sailesi Dzombe have been trusted to the positions of Goalkeeper trainers.
Noel Kapapa is now the team doctor while Kestain Moyo is the Kit Master.
Mafco FC was relegated from TNM super league together with their brothers in arms, Red Lions and Nchalo United, after the team finished on position 15 from the 16 team log table in the 2018 season.
This season the team will participate in the K12 million Chipiku Stores Central Region Football Premier League.
