Members of the disbanded Malawi Young Pioneers (MYP) say they will proceed with their planned vigil slated for Friday as they continue to force government to settle their pension arrears.
Leader for MYP, Franco Chilemba has told YFM that despite fighting for their pension arrears for one year now, government has failed to pay the other 692 MYP members.
Chilemba said the grouping will camp at Capital Hill until their grievances are addressed.
He has threatened that should government fail to succumb to their demand, the grouping will take unspecified action.
However, spokesperson in the ministry of finance Davis Sado has asked ex-MYP members to relax saying government is looking into the matter.
