Three people including two Electricity Generation Company (Egenco) officials have survived a plane crash at Likoma airport in the northern part of Malawi.
Spokesperson for Egenco, Moses Gwaza said the plane developed a fault in its braking system while on the landing strip and it ended up hitting the embankment where it stopped and injured the three passengers on board.
The passengers were on an official visit to Likoma Island on Lake Malawi.
All the three passengers were treated as out-patients at the hospital after suffering minor injuries in the crash.
The small plane belongs to Ulendo Airlink.
