Mzuzu University has been closed down indefinitely following violent protests by students on Monday.
A letter dated 29 October, 2019 from staff members which has been addressed to the University Registrar Yonamu Ngwira said the university has been closed among others, in order to investigate the culprits for the violent protests.
The letter also calls upon management to instill discipline in students so that staff members are respected.
On Monday Mzuzu university students took to streets to force Staff members to release their delayed last semester examination results.
The demonstrations were also organized to force the management to allow them to register without necessarily paying the full amount of fees.
