A Malawian forward star, Frank Gabadinho Mhango, continues to shine in South Africa after grabbing a brilliant hat-trick on Tuesday evening to go top of the Absa Premiership goal scoring chart.
Currently he is leading the golden boot award race with 10 goals and has replaced Highlands Park striker, Peter Shalulile who has 9 goals.
Mhango’s goals on Tuesday, assisted his side Orlando Pirates, to register a 4-1 away win over Polokwane City at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Following the victory, Orlando Pirates have moved to fifth position with 24 points from 16 games, 11 points behind the leaders Kaizer Chiefs.
Gabadinho, 27, started playing football in the streets of Mlowe Village, in Rumphi district, before joining a local third division team called Brave Warriors.
It was not long before Mhango won the attention of the country’s top super league side, Big Bullets, who witnessed the striker scoring 6 goals in one game.
He made his international debut for Malawi national team in 2012.
In his international football carrier in South Africa, he has played for Brave Warriors, Bloemfontein Celtic, Lamontville Golden Arrows and Bidvest Wits before signing for Orlando Pirates in June 2019.
