2019 TNM Super League champions Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club have taken an ambitious move to hold a four-team international football bonanza in February.
According to the club’s administrator, Albert Chigoga, the bonanza will take place at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre from February 28 to March 1, 2020.
He told YFM Online that Nyasa Big Bullets and Be Forward Wanderers will represent Malawi whereas one team will come from Mozambique and another one from Zimbabwe.
“I can confirm that we are indeed hosting an international football bonanza next month. As you may recall, last year prior to the new season, we also held a similar bonanza. This will help to keep our players in shape as we prepare for the 2020 TNM Super League season,” he said.
During last year’s international football bonanza, Clube Ferroviario de Nampula from Mozambique were winners of the tournament with five points from the three games played. Be Forward Wanderers (Malawi) and Chicken Inn (Zimbabwe) also participated in the tournament.
This year’s TNM Super League season is expected to kick-off on March 21, a week after the FAM Charity Shield tournament.
