By Mabuchi Chunga

Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) will have the opportunity to register gains following an Export Marketing And Procedures training which will equip SME’s and interested participants with knowledge on how to conduct cross border trade.

Kettie Chisambi of Open Spaces Incorporated, the organization running the training, said the training is geared at giving SME’s the fundamentals of cross boarder trading.

“There is a big market for a lot of things that Malawi produces and the demand is high for exports such as gemstones and agri-business based products the only setback is that people don’t know how to set up an export businesses.”

Chisambi added: “The biggest challenge is that most Malawian SME’s do not know where to start from so that they can export this means where to get markets and how to package their goods.”

She said the training will help SME’s to know ways of how they can get markets and manage logistics.

The training will take place on January 30 this year in Lilongwe.
