One of the suspects in the MacDonald Masambuka murder case told the High Court in Blantyre on Wednesday that President Peter Mutharika’s aide Dr. Hetherwick Ntaba took two bones which were chopped off from the body of late Masambuka soon after a postmortem at the Zomba Central Hospital Mortuary.
Chikondi Chileka, a police officer, during cross examination by lawyer Timothy Chirwa said police officers including himself before his arrest, were warned against mentioning the presence of Dr. Ntaba at the mortuary.
The case resumed on Tuesday with hearing of testimonies from suspects.
Masambuka, a 22-year old person with albinism went missing in 2018 before his body was found without some body parts a few weeks later.12 individuals were found with cases to answer in connection to the death of Masambuka.
Former Roman Catholic Priest, Thomas Muhosha is among prominent suspects in the case.
