First Choice Tigresses netball team coach Peace Chawinga-Kalua says she has build a team that is able to compete for trophies this year.

Chawinga-Kalua told YFM Online that last season, the management of the team had a vision of promoting young players.

She said they have been driven by this vision which has enabled them to blend the youth with the experienced netball players.

She added that teams should expect a formidable First Choice Tigresses side that is ready to challenge for honours this coming season.

“We had challenge of sponsorship in the past which made life difficult for us to fight in the league. Teams with better finances could come and rob players from us because we had no money to counter their offers,” Chawinga-Kalua said.
