Former Chairperson for Karonga United Football Club Alufeyo Chipanga has refuted allegations that his resignation is as a result of reports that communities want to own the team.
Speaking to YFM sports desk, Chipanga said he has resigned because he has served the team for a long period of time but he will still be a member of the team.
“I have indeed resigned as a chairperson for Karonga United FC because I feel like I should pave way for others but I will still be giving the team my hand in some other things, some these things are just hearsays,” Chipanga said.
Chipanga has served the team ever since it got promoted to TNM Super League.
The development comes a month and some days before the kick-off of TNM Super League in March.
