Classes at the Malawi College of Accountancy (MCA) will resume tomorrow February 27, 2020, according to authorities at the college.
Speaking to YFM, MCA principal Agrippa Phiri said some classes were cancelled on February 25 and 26 to ensure that staff and property is protected during the demonstrations staged by the students regarding leakage of examinations last semester.
Meanwhile Phiri said they will have a closed meeting today with the college’s administration and that they will also hold a dialogue with students to make sure that in future they communicate their grievances properly.
“We will meet with the school administration but I cannot disclose what will transpire at that meeting.”
He also appealed to the corporate world to not lose trust in the institutions graduates saying the discovery of the malpractice show that they are strict when administering exams.
“We have systems which enable us to catch cheaters in examinations and that are why we have managed to get them in last semesters exams.”
Earlier on Tuesday students held demonstration to press authorities to act on the issue of examinations leakage at the college, last semester.
