President Peter Mutharika has urged Malawians to rise above partisan interest as the country embarks on series of consultation meetings for vision 2063.
The president made the call on Friday during the launch of the meetings which are aimed at soliciting views for the formulation of successor for vision 2020.
The Malawi leader said for the country to come up with a feasible and practical development plan, everyone has to abandon his or her selfish ambitions.
In his remarks, Director of National Planning Commission Dr. Thomas Munthali said the consultations meetings will ensure every voice of Malawian is counted.
He added that the 2063 vision plan will make sure that the needs of the future generations are not compromised.
