One of the innovators in the country has expressed worry that lack of support from government and other stakeholders is impacting negatively on innovations.
The sentiment has come on the sidelines of the World Creativity and Innovation Day which falls on April 21 every year.
Speaking to YFM, one of the engineers in the country, Zack Mwale who recently created a water dispenser and ventilator, expressed worry that if this trend continues it will affect the country’s socio economic development.
“Its unfortunate that we are taken for granted though we are large in number.”
“This day should help us reflect on how best innovators can be promoted in the country,” he added.
Mwale also said the day is important to him because he rejoices in how many lives he has touched because of his innovations.
This year the United Nations has called on all creatives to help stop the spread of covid 19.
