The dark cloud has fallen on football fraternity as the former Football Association of Malawi (FAM) second vice president Steven Msambira has died on Wednesday morning at Kamuzu Central Hospital after a short sickness.
According to information YFM sport desk has accessed, Msambira’s remains will be laid to rest on Thursday at his home village in Mitundu in Lilongwe.
The football governing body, Football Association of Malawi (FAM) is one of the members in football fraternity that have extended its condolences to the deceased family though its statement.
FAM president, Walter Nyamilandu has described the sad development as a big blow to Malawi’s football.
Msambira was elected as the second vice president in 2004 until 2007.
