Synthesis Agriculture a horticulture firm says it is planning on venturing into garlic and ginger export business once the COVID-19 pandemic is contained.
Synthesis Agriculture Executive Director Dickson Kilowe said that from their findings there is a lucrative market for the farm products and they are putting in place structures to launch the market.
“We are engaging international buyers to give us contracts on garlic and ginger,” Kilowe said
However due to the coronavirus pandemic the talks with the buyers have stalled but they are confident that as soon as the pandemic eases they will resume were they left off.
“We were supposed to finalize discussions with buyers but as you are aware of the coronavirus pandemic they have paused,” said Kilowe.
