Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has started dispatching ballot papers for Tuesday’s presidential election.

The ballot papers arrived in the country on Friday from Dubai through Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe.

MEC chairperson Justice Dr. Chifundo Kachale described the arrival of the ballot papers as a big step towards the coming election.

Meanwhile, the official campaign period for the fresh presidential election ends on Sunday.
