Balaka District Commissioner Dr. Macloud Kadam’manja says he is dismayed with the voter apathy which marred the fresh presidential election in his district.

Kadam’manja told YFM on Wednesday that 56 000 people of the total 155,754 registered voters did not cast their vote on Tuesday.

He said this might be due to loss of trust in the political leaders among others.

However, Dr. Kadam’manja said he is satisfied that the whole election process has run smoothly without any difficulties.
