The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) says it is uncertain whether the cases relating to the plunder of public funds will be concluded by end of this year.
ACB’s Principal Public Relations Officer, Egrita Ndala was responding to the request by the Center for Social Accountability and Transparency that government should conclude all the cases by December this year.
In an interview with YFM, Ndala said the bureau is mandated to conduct an investigation in line with the laws as such it will follow the same procedures in the ongoing high profile corruption cases.
Ndala also said that there are other external factors that can contribute to the delays in concluding the cases citing covid-19 and human resource among others.
